One Local Summer - Week 6 - South

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Jasmine at Knitting 40 Shades of Green did a little catching up, sending me week 5 and week 6 to share.  That salad looks particularly luscious!

Week six at The Garden Apartment saw a a reprise of the sliders, and a great looking summer vegetable salad, along with ratatouille.

Over at Foodie Tots, there were a number of local treats this week, including crabs and hot dogs.

The folks at Barn Raising put local vegetables to work this week, including in a Greek salad.

At Our Greener Pastures, they had one my summer favorites:  brushetta.

At Breakfast for Dinner, venison steak, potatoes, squash, and corn were on the menu.  Tasty!

The folks at Bridgman Pottery were busy this week, with a great looking vegetable tray, kebabs, and polenta crusted tomato tart.  Wow!

At Capturing Today, this week saw boiled potatoes and steak stir fry.

Outpost 505 indulged in crabs and potatoes.  I find myself wondering what the misadventure was… smile

And lastly, at Low Mileage food, we had humble but tasty pork, potatoes, and corn.

The misadventure was our hilariously fumbling attempts to open up the crabs.  This followed the previous Monday’s meal of a roast poussin, which left me almost in tears while butterflying the chicken.  While we’re committed to local eating, we’re not quite hard core at this point.  smile
