One Local Summer - Week 5 - South
Wednesday, July 09, 2008
Sorry for the delay! Yesterday was a very busy day involving airports and thunderstorms and freaked out cats and airline delays and, oh, passing my thesis defense, and I was out of energy by last night. However, it’s on with this week’s One Local Summer report.
Over at Low Mileage Food, we had a lovely July 4th feast.
Tiffany at the Garden Apartment has some tips for eatting locally in Michigan to share with us.
Mel at Thirtyo fixed up breakfast this week, and it looks smashing.
Over at Barn Raising, the family worked together to put some zero-mileage food on the table (and took some great photographs, as always.) The folks at Walnut Spinney also had a lovely zero miles meal, and Pam at Our Greener Pastures served up many zero mile foods as well.
C. at Foodie for Tots talks about one of my favorite fruits: cherries.
This week at Outpost 505, burgers and fries were on the menu. Noms!
Melissa at Bridgman Pottery had a wonderful looking ratatouille, and a bonus chard tart.
And finally, Heather at Simple - Green - Frugal ate locally all day. Go Heather!
